Landed in Utah

I have decided to join the blog craze. Thanks to Shawni, Melissa, and Del for the inspiration.

We have finally landed in Utah and we are moved in. We love our new house and all of the trees; they are very different from our trees in AZ. Aim has worked so hard to get us settled and I think she has accomplished it in record time. (I have been worthless on one leg.)

Thank you so much Gare and Suz for letting us take over your house for 3 months. Our kids love their Nana and Papa and we are so grateful for their help. Our kids had their first day of school at Nana and Papa's house so that was fun to have them around for that.

Conner's favorite thing in the world is to mow the lawn with Papa on his cool new lawnmower. I have tried it myself and it is pretty fun.

Here is Conner on his second Birthday. Parker decided to practice barber on him with his new school scissors so we had to shave his head. He is still pretty dang cute though.

As many of you know I shattered my tibia riding Motocross in July and it has been quite an ordeal. Aim says I am retired from MX and I think she may be right. I thought I would share some pics of the carnage.

Here is me on my 4th day in the hospital right before my second surgery. Don't I look happy?

Mitch and Gare performed my first surgery and pre-op blessing. What great service! Gare blessed me with "wisdom in my choice of activities." Ha!

Happy Day!!! Leaving the hospital. 7 Days of Hell.

Here is my first view of my scar two weeks after surgery right before they pulled the staples out. That is right, I said "Pulled them out."

MIKE!!! I'm so proud of you for starting a blog! So now we can know what's up in Z life since we never get to talk to you guys anymore. We miss you!!! Dave is just lonely as can be in the halls at church and our pool of friends to bring treats to on Sunday evenings has shrunk down dramatically without you guys. And now what are we going to do without Amy's amazing soup at the annual Trunk-or-Treat neighborhood thing at the Turleys?? We really miss you guys so much. I loved seeing the new house, you need to send pictures of the inside too. It is gorgeous! Keep up the blog thing...we'll be checking in on you guys.
I can't believe Connor is TWO.

I was so happy to see you started a blog! Your home is beautiful and your scar is a man-scar! Wow, a lot of changes in your lives these past few months. We will love to be "up to date" with the Zs. We miss you guys a lot and hope to meet up soon. Amy, Kaci and I are going to get a trip set in stone soon. We will start planning one when we get back from Cozumel. Enjoy your great fall weather.

So I started (well Kiley) started a blog for me. We are just getting going but I think it could be a cool thing. We love seeing you guys! Your house is beautiful! I am glad it all worked out! Mike all we need is for you to get back to your active self. I look at those pictures and I feel so bad for you! You have been a trooper. I am sure it has been hard trying to get the business resituated, house moved in, and trying to recover. Here's to an awesome fall and new year!!!
