Winter!!!!

Winter has definitely arrived. Since we got back from AZ for Thanksgiving, the chill in the air has definitely been here to stay. Our first real snowstorm dumped about 6 inches at our house last weekend. We had a blast playing in it and it was fun to see Conner really playing in the snow for the first time.

Even though I can't ski this winter, I am still excited when it snows so I can use my new snowblower. Ironically, it is a 2 stroke and the exhaust reminds me of the good ole days when I used to ride motocross. Like baking bread baby.

It was fun to have Zoe here for the storm. This was our weak attempt at a snowman. Fresh Utah snow is just to light and fluffy to make a good snowman right after it snows. Best snow on Earth. I CAN'T BELIEVE I LIVE IN UTAH AND I CAN'T SKI. THE HORROR!!!!!
Parker still thinks he lives in AZ and he never wears his shoes. We were out in the snow for 5 minutes and we realized he had no shoes on because his feet were buried in the snow. What a goofball.

Lexie's Baptism

On December 1st first Lexie decided to be baptized. It was a great day and all of her Larsen cousins were there. Zoe represented the Z side and we loved having her. Lexie was beaming all day and it was great to see her take a big step in her life. We are so proud of her. Aim threw a big brunch afterward at our house and we just hung out and watched it snow.

The two buds.

Halloween

Ok I know I need to post more often sorry. Halloween came and went and we had a blast. Lexie was a Victorian Pirate, Parker was a Clone Soldier (not a Storm Trooper, "Clones became Storm Troopers once the Chancellor formed the Empire, Dad") and Conner was Master Yoda. It was fun to meet some new people in the neighborhood and the kids were thrilled to bring in the candy.

Conner has begun a love affair with candy. He had trouble grasping the concept of a candy bag and insisted on carrying it all himself.

Everyone at work calls me the Pirate because I hobble around on my gimp leg. I decided if I already walk like a Pirate, I should dress up as one for Halloween. When a guy I work with told me he has a great Capt. Jack Sparrow costume I knew I had to go for it. I just thought I would be Parker's hero forever if I could pull it off. He kept asking me, "Dad did you do this for me?" which of course I did. It was fun to dress up; I don't think I have since the famous Barbarita Haunted Houses that Del and I did before we had kids.

Fall

I have always loved Fall and it is the one season in Arizona that I have always felt gipped. In AZ it is still hot when the rest of the country is cooling off and drinking wassil. Our first fall in Utah has been awesome. The kids loved the leaves changing and jumping in them. We even had an early snow that covered our yard.
Our first backyard leaf round up.

A Sunday drive through the Alpine Loop.

Landed in Utah

I have decided to join the blog craze. Thanks to Shawni, Melissa, and Del for the inspiration.

We have finally landed in Utah and we are moved in. We love our new house and all of the trees; they are very different from our trees in AZ. Aim has worked so hard to get us settled and I think she has accomplished it in record time. (I have been worthless on one leg.)

Thank you so much Gare and Suz for letting us take over your house for 3 months. Our kids love their Nana and Papa and we are so grateful for their help. Our kids had their first day of school at Nana and Papa's house so that was fun to have them around for that.

Conner's favorite thing in the world is to mow the lawn with Papa on his cool new lawnmower. I have tried it myself and it is pretty fun.

Here is Conner on his second Birthday. Parker decided to practice barber on him with his new school scissors so we had to shave his head. He is still pretty dang cute though.

As many of you know I shattered my tibia riding Motocross in July and it has been quite an ordeal. Aim says I am retired from MX and I think she may be right. I thought I would share some pics of the carnage.

Here is me on my 4th day in the hospital right before my second surgery. Don't I look happy?

Mitch and Gare performed my first surgery and pre-op blessing. What great service! Gare blessed me with "wisdom in my choice of activities." Ha!

Happy Day!!! Leaving the hospital. 7 Days of Hell.

Here is my first view of my scar two weeks after surgery right before they pulled the staples out. That is right, I said "Pulled them out."
